Getting started as a caregiver
Welcome to MeridiaCare AI. As a caregiver, your home screen is Today — a shift-aware task list that shows what needs to happen right now for your assigned residents.
Signing in
- Open the staff app login page (your community will provide the URL)
- Enter your username and password
- Confirm the correct campus is selected if you work at multiple sites
After first login, Today loads automatically.
Today — your shift command center
Today (`/today`) groups tasks by resident and priority:
- Scheduled care activities
- eMAR medication passes due
- ADL documentation reminders
- Alerts from nursing (new orders, fall follow-ups)
Tap a task to open the resident context and complete documentation inline.
Tip: Complete eMAR passes from Today whenever possible — the task list stays in sync with the medication schedule.
Resident profiles
Open any resident from Today or Residents to view:
- Photo and room assignment
- Allergies and diet orders (banner alerts)
- Active care plan highlights
- Recent notes and incidents
You can document ADLs, behaviors, and observations from the resident profile without leaving the workflow.
eMAR basics
eMAR (`/medications`) shows medication passes for your shift.
For each pass:
- Confirm the five rights (resident, drug, dose, route, time)
- Record given, refused, or held with a reason
- Add a note if required by policy
Controlled substances and PRN medications may require a co-sign depending on campus settings.
Mobile access
MeridiaCare staff mobile supports Today and eMAR on phones and tablets. Ask your administrator whether mobile is enabled for your campus.
Offline support for Today is planned — see release notes for current availability.
